Hi,
I installed pmfirewall and to test it, I went to www.grc.com. All ports are Stealth except UPnP (port 5000) is closed. Can I do something to swtich it to stealth?
Thanks |

If netstat -pan --inet does not show an open (LISTEN) port 5000, as I suspect it won't, then you need not worry. The test done by www.grc.com is of dubious veracity (http://www.grcsucks.com) _________________ Cheers,

I'm not sure how to do it with that particular firewall, but in general you would want to tell the firewall to drop packets to that port, rather than rejecting them. Just out of curiousity, what is your reason for not wanting it to appear closed to the outside world? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |
