I'm getting the above error message whenever I try to emerge something. Can anybody clue me in about what it might mean? I'm in the process of doing a gentoo install on a new system and am still running off the CD. I don't want to reboot into a broken system... |

You only need to raise your eyes a few centimeters to the top of this same forum - there is a topic dealing with the same subject; even the title is the same. |

Raise my eyeballs? Argh, that sounds like exercise.
Odd, when I did a search for "invalid db entry" that doesn't show up. Anyhow, I'm reading it, and the two proposed solutions there (remove and re-emerge devfsd and run fix-db.{pl|py}) don't work. |
