I wasn't sure if this should be a Multimedia or Desktop Environments post, but I think that the solution lies more in getting Konqueror configured correctly, so I put it here. I do have the RealOne player working well otherwise.
I have been having trouble with the ZDNet website and streaming videos.
I'm currently using KDE 3.2 beta2, but this has been true for other versions of KDE I've tried.
What I would like to do is:
1. Go to the www.zdnet.com website using Konqueror.
2. Click on one of the video reports on the right side of their webpage
3. Watch the video, using whatever media player will work.
What happens instead is that the video page opens in a new window, which is expected, but the video doesn't play. Sometime what happens is that the zdnet home page just reloads itself.
I would prefer a solution using Konqueror. I am not looking for responses such as "Why don't you use [insert alternate browser here] instead."
Thanks! _________________ I'm only hanging out in OTW until I get rid of this stupid l33t ranking.....Crap. That didn't work. |
