Default Image Viewer?

Hi guys,

This one is driving me nuts!

I'm working with povray and I'm using peflp as the front-end to render my scenes. It is setup to use xv to display the rendered images to me. The problem is IT DOES NOT WORK!

Correction, it does not work on my laptop but it works fine on my workstation?

I have imagemagick installed as well as the tcltk libraries need to run the app on my laptop.

I even tried pyvon as the front end and I just can't get it to show me the images while it is rendering on my laptop.

I tried on another box with redhat and it works fine. There is just something about xv & gentoo on my laptop that just doesn't jive with either the above applications I mentioned above.

I can run xv from the command line no problem but it just doesn't work with peflp or pyvon on this bloody laptop for some reason.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Please?
