I have an option for write support in my kernel config.. when enabled, I still can't write to the volume. Also, I thought write support wasn't done yet?

It really isn't, it's not safe to use.

There is supposed to be a new wrapper method out that uses the windows device driver to write to NTFS partitions. You could try that out. Sorry for no link but I don't remember what it's called or anything.
