webmin perl problem

I added a coupl eof modules and then got this from the webmin/sql interface looking at DB permissions
Error - Perl execution failed

Can't use an undefined value as a HASH reference at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i586-linux/DBD/mysql.pm line 113.

other modules seem fine.

ive removed the perl modules that i installed a dn re-emerged webmin but still have the problem.

Any ideas?
