I have a Sony VAIO GRT 270 notebook. It has 802.11g built-in.
lspci -v reveals:
00:07.0 Ethernet controller: Unknown device 168c:0013 (rev 01)
Subsystem: AMBIT Microsystem Corp.: Unknown device 0406
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 80, IRQ 18
Memory at d4010000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled] [size=64K]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2
But if I ifconfig eth1 it says device not found (eth0 is integrated 10/100).
I tried the orinoco driver, which supposedly works for most other AMBIT cards. I even tried changing the device id number, as someone instructed me. No luck.
Is it possible for me to get this card to work? |
