So, how old are you? Is there any gentoo-user that is over 50? or under 10? Please vote. I'm 17.

Interesting results so far.

I wonder if we 'grownup-n00bs' just have more free time to set up Gentoo systems or if there's some other reason. I'll be interested to see final results - it might (partly) explain the difference between Gentoo Forum polls on social issues and mass media polls on social issues.

i've had people on forums mistake me for 30 and such, age does not really matter it's how willing they are to learn, and how little of a life they have to spend learning :-)

i'm 16 @ time of posting :-)

I'm 23, almost 24. 24 sucks....too far away from 21 to be cool and not 25 for the insurance break...

Hmm... turning 23 at near the end of this month. I remeber running around at 12 fixing computers just to be able to use one since our family couldn't afford a computer. Thankfully I now have six I own and use regularly not including the desktops, laptops, servers, and parts I have stashed around the rest of the house. It is nice that kids can now get the pleasure of computers at an earlier age without having to really work for it.

60.
I guess I could be one of the oldest Gentoo users around (if my Gentoo/Linux skills matched my age, I'd be in good shape). It must be all the anti-oxidant vitamin supplements I've taken every day since the early 1960's!

In any case, figuring out Gentoo surely must be one of the most effective methods going for keeping the mind sharp and clear as one ages.

I am 20, but I wish I was 17 again! Or maybe newly 18 (so that I can drink without breaking laws).

Aha, but that one is locked :-)
I'm 18, and it for some time has already looked like life is nothing more than repetition :o

18 is the drinking age in Brazil, however, so things are fine and dandy :-)

Ok, I'm sorry - I just did not know.
On the other hand there was a reason why ebrostig locked it and IIRC his reasoning could also be applied to this thread . But times have changed - let's see what happens...

I'm 13... First used Linux when i was 9, though. Gave up on it for two years after that and then got back into it last year.

(FYI, it was RedHat when I first started  )

I agree... Threads that do not require an input of more than two sentences do generally become postcount bumping waste of time. Especially at that time when the forums were overloaded, and people posting once got 5x duplicates... Let's see how this one goes.

I'm 15, and I feel very insulted that the title "Mother's Nightmare" was bestowed upon me simply because of my age class. Just because kids my age tend to be immature, etc doesnt mean all of us are.
