Stupid mouse problem ATI 9800

I've never had this problem with my ti4200, but ever since I upgraded to my 9800 the mouse on the top of the screen doesn't dissapear half way. It works properly on the sides and bottom though.

Thinking it was just a poor config left from my ti4200, I just reinstalled gentoo with a 2.6.1 kernel, xfree 4.3.99.902, kde 3.2_beta2 and I still have the SAME problem.

This leads me to believe that it is not my fault (or my config) and other people have the same problem as well...

I've tried many different ati-drivers and all have this problem. I'm currently using 3.2.8...

When I tried the vesa driver instead of fglgrx driver (exact same XF86Config though) the problem was fixed!?!?

I'm using a Abit NF7-S (nforce 2 mobo) a xp2500...
