Does any one have a clue as to why I cannot unmerge xfce4 package.
Code:
bash-2.05b$ sudo emerge -C xfce4-wavelan-0.1.0
Traceback (most recent call last):

KeyError: 'Specific key requires an operator (xfce-extra/xfce4-wavelan-0.1.0)'

Not sure, but from looking at the error message, did you try:
Code:
emerge -C =xfce-extra/xfce4-wavelan-0.1.0

I'm at work, so I can't try it, but when unemerging a specific version, I believe you need to use the =, otherwise you can just give the name of the package and it will unemerge all versions of the package.

It simply removes it. Then you can't re-install it.
