Hi,

I want to buy a neighbor for my 256 memory chip. Therefore I want to know what is installed. Is there anything in portage which lets me detect the ram and give me detailed information? (Type, CL, Speed,...)

Unfortunately I didn't find this option in my Asus A7V133 Board's Bios. But I found a program called "Open-your-pc-and-have-a-close-look-at-the-chip".

It says:

Infineon 256 MB PC133 Original CL2

Next question: Where do I find a german dealer, who has Infineon SD-RAM CL2 in stock...

Go to the dealer from whom you bought your computer. Or if you can't, you can probably ask any dealer for mathing chips from other manufactures. Just take a note on how many memory chips (those big black things) are integrated on a single circuit. If yours has 8 don't by memory with 16.
