well, maybe your tracker is down.
What tracker are you connecting to? |

Downloading a fresh .torrent from my tracker fixed the problem. Lesson learned. |

I get this quite a lot when using bittorrent, just closing and restarting it a few times seems to clear up the problem although not ideal I know _________________ Bunder for president ^o^ |

I get that also sometimes. You don't need to restart it. Just leave it running and it will eventually connect after a few minutes. |

Weird, I've tried doing that, but it never manages to connect even if I leave it running for a couple of hours. _________________ Bunder for president ^o^ |

Humm that is quite strange...Like i said it happens to me on a more or less regular basis and if i let it run it ends up connecting after a few (1,2) minutes.
I don't quite know the bt protocol, however i do believe that when you're unable to connect to a tracker the program automatically connects to another.
Btw which version of bt do you use? Try getting theshadow, it's back on portage and it has some great features. Perhaps this auto-reconnect thing is one of them. |

this might be a case where patience may pay off, later it run for a while.
trackers (like everything esle) can get bogged down. just like you dont expect instant speed when downloading, dont expect an instant connection. |
