Bonjour,
Je suis entrain d'essayer d'installer Gnome mais il y a un prog (ou une libraire) qui ne veut pas se compiler. Voilà le message :

Que puis-je faire pour régler ce problème ?
C'est peut-être du à la version du prog en question (gtkglarea) ?
En tout cas mon système est à jour, j'ai fais un emerge rsync, un emerge -u system et un emerge -u world.
J'ai essayé en virant gtkglarea-1.99.0 de /usr/portage/distfiles/ , pour ensuite le recharger mais j'ai toujours la même erreur.
C'est vraiment rallant car il reste 6 progs (je crois) et Gnome est installé. |

Pas sûr mais la première chose qui me vient à l'esprit : utilises-tu les drivers nVidia ?
Il est possible qu'il y ait un problème de compatibilité à ce niveau (package nvidia-glx)
Essaie d'activer temporairement à la version xfree d'OpenGL :
opengl-update xfree
(cette commande est fournie par le package ... opengl-update  ) |

Oui j'utlise les drivers nvidia (mais pas ceux fourni par gentoo, je les prend du site de Nvidia).
Je vais essayer ce que tu me dit, merci. |

| Je viens d'essayer, malheureusement j'ai toujours la meme erreur, en meme temps j'ai teste aussi avec ceux fournis par Gentoo et la ca plante encore plutot. Donc t'as raison y a certainement une incompatibilite. |

J'avais le même problème avec gtkglarea. Maintenant, ça marche.
C'était chez moi un bug de NVIDIA :
X. Known issues with release 1.0-5328

People report that using libtool with release 1.0-5328 fails with:
"libtool: link: `/usr/lib/libGL.la' is not a valid libtool archive"
nvidia comments on this:

This is a problem with the libGL.la generated by the
nvidia-installer. Please edit /usr/lib/libGL.la, and replace the line:
# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.5
with
# Generated by nvidia-installer: 1.0.5 (for use by libtool)
libtool greps for "^# Generated by .*libtool" before using .la files.
This will be fixed in the next driver release. I apologize for the
inconvenience.
