Linux terminal server project + hpoj + JetDirect?

Hi all!

At work i'm setting up a linux terminal server to recycle some of our old pentium I/II boxes. As i want to be an example i'm going to be one of its clients - although i have a AXP1700+, nf2, 256MB box.

I want to setup my printer at work (HP LaserJet 1100A) on the workstation (terminal) connected to the new linux terminal server. I could install the printer through JetDirect but then the printer is working in printer mode only (note that HP LaserJet 1100A can be a scanner also). I would really hate to give up on the scanner feature of the printer as i use its scanner to store paper documents in digital form.

So presently i am using hpoj drivers to enable poth the printer and scanner mode of the printer. Is there a way to use the hpoj drivers and the JetDirect connectivity (that is required for connecting server and client???) together?

Can anyone point me to some resources or have a similar configuration already set up?
