Hi,
If anyone is interested in getting an MX900 mouse working with their powerbook , here a couple of notes that perhaps someone might find useful
I have followed the following page http://www.bueche.ch/comp/mx900/mx900.html
it simply did not work for me. the bthid that came with the bluez utils would segfault when it detected the MX900
after much research I found there are infact two completly different programs called bthid , the second one is here http://klausler.com/msbtkb-linux.html
this new program ( which i will call bthid2 ) would not compile against my 2.6.1-benh1 , so i rolled back to 2.6.0-benh2
after i got it to compile against 2.6.0 , everything simply works. right now , I am using my mx900 bluetooth mouse with my powerbook. all the main buttons and the wheel work perfecty right out of the box.
this is what i currently use to get my mouse going
modprobe bluetooth
modprobe hci_usb
modprobe uinput
hciconfig hci0 up
hcid
bthid2 -l ( this is NOT the bthid that comes with bluez )
I hope this is of use to someone
Thanks
