With 18 scheduled languages and something like 96 unscheduled languages as of a 1991 census, aren't you kind of limiting yourself to only a Hindi forum? |

well iam am indian too, but i dont necessarily subscribe to your view of having a hindi based forum @ gentoo. but perhaps you could have a section where the folks from india could discuss stuff about spreading a word about gentoo, educating people about it or something of that sort. Since Linux == Redhat for most desktop users in india. We could arrange for Cd's for installing Gentoo Linux. _________________ In an Open World , who needs Windows and Gates ? |

Moved from Off the Wall. This forum, "Other Languages", is the place where you discuss possible new forums on top of the ones already established at the Gentoo Forums. First of all, you'll need to find enough people requesting a Hindi forum (usually around 30 should be sufficient). As soon as you do achieve that critical mass, we'll also need volunteers to moderate the new forum before the admins can set it up. |

considering this thread is entirely in English, I find it amusing! _________________ Kororaa install method - have Gentoo up and running quickly and easily, fully automated with an installer! |

Hello,
I support you
We , as Turkish gentoo users, are also trying to open a forum.
I believe our Indian friends should have another forum if they want a place to share their knowledge in their language.
After all, linux is a source for both firendship between nations and also an opportunity for people that are not good at English. It will be good if a linux user can find support conveniently in their own language, and know that there is a palce that they can share their knowledge in their language.
Good luck |

Considering that french is no more the international language (except for very chic people) and that esperanto is not so well-kown, and, most of all, that english and north-american people has done the great colonisation of a lot of nations with imperialism, food, papers, tv and chewingum... I really do not understand how can you find amusing a man that simply want to talk his own language.
