Hi
I am trying to run some older games(StarCraft etc...) under wine. The game runs and loads great except for sound. I have sound on my system working with ALSA. I friend of mine told me wine only works with OSS. Is this true? Does anyone else have sound working correctly? Can you give me some tips. |

Well I did that and added the HardwareAccleration option I found in the othe thread. No it tries to do sound when it first starts up. It makes a rough sound for about 3 seconds then goes dead and never comes back. Oh well. I know wine is still developing. I'm just glad to be able to play. I guess sound is not that big of a deal. |
