in gjnome i get a error: couldnt connect to smb://192.168.0.101
but it i do
/usr/bin/smbclient -L Fred (192.168.0.101 is Freds IP)
iit shows

i think in gnome you must use the gnome-vfs thing. There should be a link in your gnome menu or applications menu that is similar to network neighborhood.
