kdm 3.2_rc1 does not work

Hi,

Since I updated to kde 3.2_rc1 I am no longer able to logon with kdm. KDM starts correct, but if I try to log on, the screen changes to black, the 'busy' mouse pointer appears ... and I am back in kdm.

I have already tried:

unmerged kde 3.1.4
checked the logs (I didn't find any error in kdm.log or xfree86.log)
logged on in the console and typed 'startx' => anything worked perfect
checked the config files => nothing unusual

hmmm, no more ideas yet

Hope somebody could help me, since I liked logging on with kdm very much

Sorry, forgot to mention that I tried to emerge kde-3.1.5 few days before and got errors during half of the merge. I decided to wait for 3.2_rc1 and unmerged 3.1.5. Maybe some of my configuration are broken? Could not imagine what ...
