I've checked that the driver is loaded, and I've tried compiling it into the kernel. It seems to be detected during startup as /dev/hdc, which I think is right, but once it's done booting, /dev/hdc doesn't exist. There is an entry for it in /dev/ide/host0/bus1/target0/lun0, and the make and settings are viewable in /proc, but I can't figure out how to get it mounted. Does anyone know how to set it up properly? I don't need to use it with the 120 meg disks, just normal floppies.

LS-120/240 uses the same kernel module/driver as the Zip drive - IDE floppy. It comes with the kernel out-of-the-tar.bz2, and if that doesn't work, try downloading one of those CD-based distro's, or the Gentoo install/rescue CD. The the module should be in /lib/modules/2.4.xxxx/kernel/drivers/ide/ide-floppy.o

So if you compile it as a module, try:
modprobe ide-floppy

Hope this helps. :D

Yeah, I had that module loaded. I eventually tried MAKEDEV hdc, and it's been working fine since then, so hopefully it's fixed :)
