Help with my hardware and kernel (2.6.1)

What do I have to include in the kernel so my webcam(logitech) is detected and my scanner (cannon) too?

pwc driver (Phillips WebCam) and there also is a binary only module that improves performance too that goes with the pwc module.

For 2.6.1 you need to go to the drivers authors page and get the things there, the ones in portage seem to be for 2.4
