|
|
Been using grub for 2 weeks or so now.... and needed to go back into windows to grab a file. Rebooted the system, grub came up, selected my win option from grub, and... here came grub again.
Everytime I select my windows option, the screen flashes and here comes grub again. Any ideas?
Code: |
default 0
timeout 30
splashimage=(hd1,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title=Gentoo Linux
root (hd1,0)
kernel (hd1,0)/kernel-2.4.22-gentoo-r4 root=/dev/hdb3
initrd (hd1,0)/initrd-2.4.22-gentoo-r4
title=Windows XP
root (hd0,0)
chainloader (hd0,0)+1 |
Let me know if you need anything else.
Usually wouldn't care if windows came up or not, but there is something on my windows part that I really need. :/ _________________ :: d3bruts1d ::

isn't it supposed to be just chainloader +1?
Code: | default 0
timeout 30
splashimage=(hd1,0)/boot/grub/splash.xpm.gz
title=Gentoo Linux
root (hd1,0)
kernel (hd1,0)/kernel-2.4.22-gentoo-r4 root=/dev/hdb3
initrd (hd1,0)/initrd-2.4.22-gentoo-r4
title=Windows XP
root (hd0,0)
chainloader +1 |

Your grub.conf configuration looks fine. It 'should' boot. Have you made any hardware changes? |

Well, the only thing I can say is that since it goes back to GRUB, it's Grub's problem, Not WinXP's.
Try loading a Grub commandline and see what you get. _________________ Windows, Linux, whatever. |
