I have my gateway, which I'd like to run ctrlproxy on, but I dont want to connect directly to some networks (those who doesen't cloak hosts), I've had myself DOS'ed more than once, for my nick/to try to takeover chan's I'm in (I'm on a lot of networks and a lot of chans), so I dont want my ip easily available.
What I'd like to do:
my computer - running ctrlproxy, ctrlproxy connecting to remote computer, and remote computer forwarding that connection to a irc server.
What would be the best way of doing that?... I think I might be able to do it with ssh -l and -r, but I'm not capable of wrapping my mind around that atm.
/me just wants to bnc through that computer, without running ctrlproxy on it. (I dont trust the admin to stay off my passwords... yeah I know he could listen on the data, but he's too lazy to do that anyway ). |

buy a shell on some shell company .
Usually they have a lot of vhosts which you can change on the fly.
pretty good if you want to hide your ip. _________________ linux: #232767 |

yeah, but I wanted to keep the actual bnc app on my box
( = I can connect directly to some hosts, which minimizes lag).
got plenty of shells but.. I really dont trust public shells
either way I just tried stunnel and that works fine for my purposes |
