I am considering running a GRP server for people who want P4 desktops. I'm not going to do anything special for you, I would just host all my binaries on my OC3 servers.
These would be (as of now) the flags everything would be built with:
USE="-* apache2 aalib acpi alsa avi berkdb bonobo cdr crypt cups curl encode esd evo gb gd gdbm ggi gif gnome gtk2 gtkthml guile imlib innodb java jikes joystick jpeg lcms libgda libwww mad mikmod memlimit mmx mpeg motif mozilla mysql ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam perl png python qt quicktime readline ruby scanner sdl slang spell sse ssl svga tcltk tcpd tiff truetype usb videos X xml xml2 xv zlib"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O2 -pipe -mfpmath=sse -fomit-frame-pointer"
I could possibly add to the USE flags depending on what it is. I know a normal GRP server has minimal USE flag but this is just my desktop binaries that I'm willing to share so *shrug*
Would anyone want to use it?

I used the p4 flag on a laptop and has some issues with kde not working correctly. I had to recompile kde-libs and kde-network with the p3 flag. Acutally, I am not 100% sure that it was the p4 flag. But think seem to be working now. |

I voted no, but that's mainly because I don't use GRP _________________ 72 of Pitcairn Islands 49 inhabitants use Seti@Home

No as
- I prefer source packages
- I don't have a P4
- I'll never get a P4 (as IMHO it's the worst thing Intel ever designed, ok except for the SSE2 and SMT stuff)
- I have fairly custom USE flags |

i have to say no,
1) i dislike grp's and
2) no offence im sure your a perfectly nice trustworthy guy but you are a stranger who could have put god knows what in the binaries.
this is a primary reason not to use pirated windows software as strangers with dubious morals could have done anything. getting OT but next time you see a window user put their credit card details into a pc running a stolen os it might be worth pointing out, we may even get a few converts. _________________ Giay tay nam | Giay nam cao cap | Giay luoi |

That is possibly the largest amount of use flags I have ever seen, and it is when I see things like that that I remember why I use stuff from source. Also...the amount of space used would be HORRENDUS! |
