Alrighty. So I got FTape into my kernel(?) doing the whole make menuconfig thing. I even saw a selection that specifically said Travan. So that's cool.
Now, should I be able to type ftape as a command? Also I'm having trouble figuring out what it should be in /dev. (Those of you from the Overrclocker's forum know that thread. ) Is there a certain method as to how Linux lists hardware in /dev? Maybe with that info I can decipher what it has called my tape drive.
One more thing. I have the 2mb floppy controller that came with the tape drive installed right now. It's installed in the 8bit section of the ISA slot. Should the lspci command show that device? I know it shows the ISA bridge, but I'm not seeing the 2mb floppy controller. (Which is different from the onboard floppy controller that's on my mobo)
Thanks for any help anyone can provide. _________________ I am a born hunter and you are my prey. Can the deer defeat the wolf? |
