I've got a question, I had my kernel compiled and was getting tons of error messages on boot and also get seg faults when I tried to run commands such as "uptime" and "top" I tried downgrading a bit from r5 to r4 and then I had some problems getting my sound to work and getting the athlon xp kernel option working so I decided to just eat the warnings and go with r5, so I deleted the r5 ebuild that I had, resynced, and remerged, and all of a sudden no more errors?? I'm not complaining, but I was wondering if anyone knew if they fixed the problem or if I just got lucky the second time around? thanks |

And also when i try to run ps, w, uptime, or any program that reads /proc/uptime... Don't have these problems with r2 (but I have other issues, like ehci-hcd module loaded by the hotplug script constantly using up about 30% of CPU time)... |

Same problem here, I use -r4 in stead. I believe a bug has been files already. |

r3 seems to be working fine, so I'm using that now. |
