I'm trying to migrate from Windows to Linux. I've been sufficiently impressed with my Gentoo installation that I want to migrate to linux for all my emailing now.

When I try to import my Outlook Express 6 folders into KMail it only imports some of the folders. I was getting an error message but now I'm not even getting that so I can't reproduce it. I'm importing them telling KMail to import from OE5 even though I'm using OE6 because there isn't an OE6 option.

Some of the folders are imported fine so I don't know what the problem is.

Does anyone know what is happening? Can anyone suggest a work around?

Thanks.

A possible work around. Install Netscape/Mozilla/Thunderbird in windows and import your mail into there. Then, from that, try importing into kmail.

I seem to remember having done this a while ago, but since it has been awhile, I'm not sure if I'm leaving anything out.

Good luck.

Installed Thunderbird on Windows. This method worked.

Thanks.
