As you can see if you read the Gentoo distcc guide, it can be built with a gnome-based monitor app.
It does not have any gnome dependencies - it can be built with optional gnome support. |

gah....k. Sorry bout that. I must've missed that. The only reason I was confused is that my USE flags are as follows:
USE=""
And it still wanted gnome stuff. Oh well, guess I should've explicitly disabled gnome and gtk...
This is all being built for a system that has a very limited amount of both space and system resources (450MHz 32MB ram). Its used as a router/firewall for my local network andI wanted to use distcc w/ it so that I could compile things for it utilizing my Athlon-XP machine. Currently I have a fake environment set up that I can mount and chroot to, build the packages and then sftp over to the server and install, but if I can get an extra 450MHz of help, I'll take it. |
