before /dev/hdb changed to /dev/hda, I had no problems with iptables. Nothing except the hdx-device changed. When I load iptables now, I get:

Quote:
astarte root # iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -j SNAT --to-source 213.84.96.18 -s 192.168.1.0/24
modprobe: Can't locate module ip_tables
iptables v1.2.7: can't initialize iptables table `nat': iptables who? (do you need to insmod?)
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.
astarte root #

This is weird, because I'm 100% sure it's compiled into my kernel. I tried compiling those as modules as well, but nothing works, and I'm out of clues now. Anybody got spare clues?

Could you post your /usr/src/linux/.config file and the output of a 'lsmod' ?

It's fixed already. Reason: I booted an 2.4.18-kernel and thought it was 2.4.19 (yeah i should-ave checked better!) because /boot wasn't mounted -- every time I copied bzImage I copied it into an unmounted /boot. Stupid me!

 thanks anyway :?
