has anybody managed to successfully install exchange4linux on gentoo?

i've been trying for days and desperation is slowly taking over ...

the installation works. I installed it today :-)

but now i cant send any mail with k-mail to my web.de account :-(

could you elaborate a bit on how you installed it, from source or rpms, with some ebuild? anything that needed special attention? thanks.

I installed it from source.

extract the tarball and changed into the new directory.
make all
....
make install
....
i just followed the doc's
http://www.billworkgroup.org/billworkgroup/home/Doc24x/BillInstallExchange4linuxAll/exchange4linuxDebianInstall

So then you initialize the server and database and create a user. ready.

But now my KMAIL can't send any mail to any mailaccount :-)

It seams that the exchange4linux changed some config files that the standard port for mail were blocked :-(
