HELP - network problems step 9 of install

Hi, I'm very new to Linux and have choosen Gentoo for a start !

I completed my installation using stage 1 with the LiveCD to boot at the beginning. Compiled everything and installed Grub as bootloader.

Everything boot fine but the network on eth0. It gives me this error message when bringing it up.

Failed to bring eth0 up

Error: Problem starting needed services.
"netmount" was not started.

When I use the CD to boot it recognize the NIC and I used dhcp. Eth0 is configured as dhcp in the conf file.

Is because I didn't load a particular module or driver ? Is there a way for me to now what the CD used to load it ? Please help !

Remember, I'm very new to this, I may need a lot of info to accomplish your instructions !
