Hi,
I was wondering where could I find kernel .bz2 diffs. I mean, for example:
I have linux-2.6.2-rc1.tar.bz2 and I find out there's a 2.6.2-rc2.tar.bz2 on kernel.org. the question is where could I find a diff between those too (the bzipped sources)
And another thing: what are incremental patches?
Please help.

The incremental patch is the diff.

On kernel.org, the patch is called "patch-2.6.1-rc2". It is the incremental patch is from 2.6.1-rc to 2.6.1-rc2. You can get the next one as well (2.6.1) and apply first the one called 2.6.1-rc2 and then 2.6.1. If you don't do it in the right order, it won't work.

Code:

diff -uar linux-2.6.1-rc1.tar.bz2 linux-2.6.1-rc2.tar.bz2>binarypatch

I hope was clearer this time :)

There are no official patches like that. In fact, I think unless you were really lucky- a patch done that way would be bigger than a bzip2ed diff of the uncompressed tree.
