Hi all.
I'm trying to install Gentoo 1.4 for AMD-64 on mine amd 64 3200+ Gigabyte motherboard. I'm getting RIP errors. I know I have to tipe idle=poll to fix it. The only place where i can type it in a boot options. However, it tell me that there is no option like that.

What am I doing wrong?
Please help! :(

Try going to
Code:

 FAQ | Search | Memberlist | Usergroups | Statistics | Profile | You... messages | Log out

Search type in " idle=poll " or " amd64 " and start reading what and how you do it. In the case of getting amd64 up and going try posting in one of the open threads on"Ow in dee hell do i get this piece O poop ta wok "

I'm currently trying to instal Gentoo on my ADM64-based system too.
In order to boot the AMD64 experimental livecd I had to :
- disable "Legacy USB Device" in my BIOS
- boot using "nofb idle=poll nousb"

Let me know if this helps.
