Hallo Leute,
Seit heute funktioniert plötzlich mein X-Server nicht mehr. Ich wüsste nicht, was ich verändert hätte.
Kann mir einer sagen, was ich noch probieren könnte??
Ich hab hier mal meine /var/log/XFree86.0.log angehängt. Vielleicht kann ja einer etwas damit anfangen.

das sieht mir so aus, als wenn sich in deiner XF86Config was verändert hat. Zmindest entnehme ich dem Log, dass die Mausangabe nicht mehr stimmt. Ich poste mal meine Angaben zu wheel mousse:

Identifier "Mouse1"
Driver "mouse"

Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" |
Dann muss die entsprechende Maus ganz am Ende der XF86Config nochmals spezifiziert werden:

Vielleicht vergleichst du das mal mit den entsprechenden Werten bei dir. Ich meine, dass bei dir das entsprechende Input Device nicht gefunden wird. Entweder hat sich daran etwas geändert (das ist bei mir /dev/psaux) oder die angegebene Maus im Server Layout stimmt nicht mehr (bei dir mouse0 bei mir mouse1) Das 0 oder 1 ist egal, wenn es in sich konsistent ist.
Vielleicht nutzt ja was,

Danke!
Es funktioniert wieder.
Seltsamerweise war die "Mouse-Sektion" komplett auskommentiert worden.
Habe es aber erst nach deinem Tipp bemerkt.
Wie kann denn sowas passieren ? War in den letzten Tagen ein XFree86-Update in meinem world emerge ?
Hoffentlich kann ich langsam auch mal anderen helfen.
