I'm trying to install the 2.6 kernel on my G3 500MHZ iBook2 (dual USB) and for some reason I keep getting kernel panics with the 2.6.2_rc1-r1 so I wanted to just downstep and compile the 2.6.1-r1 kernel but I don't want more panics. Does anyone have the conf list of what I need to compile to get 2.6 to work on my machine?
And also if someone has 2.6 installed how's OpenGL is it faster then 2.4? In 2.4 my screensavers are slow an jumpy  |

O and also another question 
For my boot partition I just went into mac-fdisk and just hit b for making a boot partition now should I change that and make it a journaled boot partition or just keep it as is?
