Hey guys! I've got a question. When I was installing Gentoo, and in Win XP, I was able to turn off the LCD by using Fn+F7. Now, it seems as though I can't do that. I've got two questions. How can I get Fn +F7 to work again, or how can I turn off the LCD? Thanks!

It's possible that the lcd function was part of a larger power management system. Is power management (either apm or acpi) built into your kernel? |

Actually, I got it working now. As long as I have a framebuffer of 1024x768 or less, I can switch to the console and it will work.
