salve a tutti! sono alla mia prima installazione di gentoo!
con molta calma sono partito dallo stage1 compilando tutto il possibile... una volta pronto ho compilato XFree e Fluxbox e tutto andava per il meglio! a questo punto ho deciso di installare kde...
e qui hanno iniziato a crearsi i problemi... sono riuscito a compialre tutto fino alle kdelibs a quel punto non sono piu riuscito a far niente perche si bloccava in compilazione... beh ho scoperto di aver fuso la scheda madre :roll:
a questo punto ho dovuto comprare una nuova scheda, l'ho montata e tutto bene... sono riuscito a compilare kdelibs e kdebase e ora kde parte
MA si è creato un nuovo problema! (a parte l'audio che non va ma a quello pensoro dopo)
il mouse stranamente non va! il fatto è che non è che non vada sulla scheda perchè in windows funziona tranquillamente ma in Linux sembra non muoversi...
ho provato a cercarlo su tutti i dev ma niente (/dev/psaux /dev/input/mice /dev/mouse) ma su nessuno va! (ah il mouse è un TrackMan Marble della Logitech su porta PS/2 ed è sempre andato bene con Linux)
a questo punto ho pensato ad alcune possibili cause...

1-il cambio di scheda madre ma non avrebbe alcuna ragione di essere cosi
2-il fatto che prima di iniziare a compilare kde ho fatto l'emerge del 2.6.1 dei sorgenti di gentoo mentre prima utilizzavo quelli di www.kernel.org
3-bohhhh

secondo voi cosa può essere?!? vi è mai capitato nulla disimile?

A me succede con i kernel 2.6.. tre o quattro click sul bottone sinistro e il mouse riparte.

Non vorrei dire una cavolata, ma sei sicuro d'avere attivato il supporto a devfs? Potrebbe essere questa la vera causa del problema...
Io sto usando il 2.6..1 e non ho alcun problema con il mouse (ne con le altre periferiche)

Vedo che hai il chipset SiS
ci dovrebbe essere un bug sull'hardware nel disabilitare la porta AUX
posta anche il dmesg e vediamo se è lo stesso errore che ho avuto

ho addirittura chiesto aiuto a Andrew Morton, Vojtech Pavlik, Dmitry Torokhov e Peter Osterlund
che sono il mantenitore del kernel 2.6 e i curatori dei supporti per il mouse
tutto sta è capire se il problema è lo stesso

Il problema l'ho risolto così
vai su /usr/src/linux-2.6.x/drivers/input/serio
e modifica il file i8042.c
togli a questo file le righe

salva il nuovo file
