|
|
As root I added a new user. I logged out and logged in as the new user. My prompt is the -bash-2.05b crap and my entire environment is gone. I succesfully added a previous user without a problem? So I log back in as root and root's environment is all screwed up too, -bash-2.05b# prompt and $PATH is only /sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin. How do I get my environment back? Please help |

I fixed this problem by running emerge sys-apps/baselayout I believe something in /etc/group got screwed up from useradd. |
