Gentoo on ia64

hi

i have an hp zx2000 machine here , and i have successfully installed gentoo on it . since i stumbled across a couple of things i could post a report about how the installation went . since i dont want to do unneccessary work , lemme know if that is wanted .

my main question is : whom can i mail or talk to about unmasking packages for the ia64 architecture ? i used " ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" " for quite a few packages (and those packages work perfectly fine on ia64) , and have one or 2 other suggestions .

Hi Mr Evil,

I'm trying to install gentoo on hp rx2600 more or less the same machine as yours and i'm getting a lot of problems while compiling bootstrap.

I have a few question:

Did you install from gentoo from another distro ?
Have you got a live cd for ia64? if yes .. where i could download it?
Can you post your kernel .config?
What were your main steps for installing gentoo?
