Hi
I've been trying two times now to get ipsec working between my 2.4 server and my 2.6 laptop. I want to use the same tools for 2.4 and 2.6 and I have found that debian provides a backported patch for 2.4 so I'm using that. I use setkey and racoon on both ends. It works fine but interactive sessions like ssh, imap and especially samba stalls (actually they lose connection).
Also I'm getting kernel panics like crazy but I don't know if it's because I use a binary module (sucky wireless driver) or because of the ipsec.
Has anyone else played around with this? |

You should check if big packets can be transmitted (use ping -s 10000).
If these packets get lost, check google for "ipsec MTU". Your MTU-value for the network-interface is probably to high. |
