I'm using the nvidia module, and X
won't start correctly.
What information do I (you) need
to diagnose the problem? |

The contents of your /etc/X11/XF86Config file, and the last page or so of your /var/log/XFree86.0.log would be good. Also, a dump of 'lsmod'. |

Have you reinstalled the nvidia drivers after you recompiled? I put the 5336 ones on when I went to 2.6. They're the first2.6 compatible ones (well from nVidia anyway). |

after putting a new kernel you have to emerge nvidia-kernel again _________________ fortune men-women:

yepyep. try installing the new nvidia 5336 driver. it worked for me, too. before everything went fine either but it is much easier with a 2.6 compatible driver ^^. |
