I am on my school's LAN, and in order to access network drives (or most other network resources other than internet access) we must log in to the Windows NT Domain. Is there a way to do this with Linux? I've heard Samba is one of the packages needed.... but are there others?
Also, I could use a little help figuring it out. I'm not a complete moron, only partially one!

Thanks!

afaik only SAMBA is able to do this kind of stuff http://samba.org/

Once installed you could take a look at LinNeighborhood for easy browsing the networkshares..
