I decided to upgrade my linux box and moved from slackware 9.0 to gentoo. I go ahead and complete a stage2 install. I then decided to try out kernel-2.4.22-gentoo-r5. When I attempt to boot into my box my keyboard (ps2) doesnt seem to respond to anything. It says it times out when looking for it. Are there any bugs that tend to make this happen. Might I have overlooked something in the gentoo kernel that would enable this?
Best wishes,

Incase anyone runs into the same problem i solved this by turning off USB Legacy support in my bios. Not sure why this would cause the ps2 keyboard to quit responding. If anyone can offer any insight I would like to hear it. |
