Hi! I'm currently experimenting with the new NVIDIA drivers for 2.6er kernels. I even put my noisy nvidia card back in to action :)

So far, all looks well, except that the xv driver, which is used by mplayer, xine and tvtime, appearantly, has a big problem with fullscreen. Each line has a slightly different horizontal alignment, causing things to look torn apart and jaggedy. My attempts to take a screenshot failed, unfortunately.
Interestingly enough, when I resize the window without going fullscreen, the error will not occur.

My XF86Config contains nothing special, just the driver "nvidia", an identifier and a VideoRam line. Likewise, ~/.mplayer/config is still the stock version.

Does anybody know how this comes about? How to fix it?

Resolved!

I simply needed to set the correct modelines in my XF86Config. Until now, I hadn't realised that modelines are more than a complicated little tuning option.

Thanks to all who replied *coughcough* :)
