this is very strange and a little annyoing. whenever i click on "view file info" in the xmms playlist, the program won't show me the info of the selected file but from the one above the selected. can anyone confirm this behavior?

Yup. Mayor bug imho :D When you shortcut the action with lets sai Alt-3, it works. But with rightclick-info it displays the info of the song before it.

yup. i too can confirm that when i do it by right-clicking a song
in the playlist and selecting view file-info there, it shows the
one above it.

however, it works fine if i do the following:

a) right-clicking the main window and selecting 'view file info'
b) selecting misc -> file info from the playlist buttons

k. i'm not sure if it does any good to post this bug to bugs.gentoo.org. it's more like a xmms group thing. so if anyone thinks, it's still a good idea to post this to the gentoo bug pool, please do so. i'll try it on their website :).

The bug is fixed with xmms-1.2.9-r1.ebuild. They have also included the ID3V2 patch in the Gentoo patchset :D Awesome!! :twisted:
