gnome not emergeing?

I have been tryin to emerge gdm and gnome for the last several days to no avail. it dosnt fail it just stops at updating scrollkeeper database i let it sit there over night but i know on a 2100 mp it really shouldnt take that long. any advice? also cant emerge arts from kde i tried setting the make.conf to -o2 instead of 03 and still didnt work it says no stl type found did i forget to install libstdc++-devel but oh well any advice would be greadtly appriciated. thanks

Is this related to any of the other threads that come up when you do a forum search for "scrollkeeper"? It's been a hot topic lately.

yes that was it thanks for pointing me in the right irection just rebuilt the scrollkeeper database and all went well
