In vsftpd.conf i typed nopriv_user=nobody, but it still run as root.
May be it is because my home ftp dir located in /mnt/ftp ?
Aslo i can't now get it to work, ive changed pesmissions of /mnt/ftp:
total 24
8 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Jan 27 22:17 lost+found
8 dr-xr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Jan 20 19:36 pub
8 drwx------ 2 root root 4096 Jan 16 20:34 upload
and when i someon trying to open my ftp, he got an error 550, that it failed to change directory.
Who can help with setting proccess owner and changing dir permissions? |

Doesn't it need to run as root in order to have access to ports < 1024? |

Once it's bound to a port < 1024 it can drop root privs and run as an ordinary user |
