I am compiling a kernel (ppc-sources 2.4.24) and have the foillowing error:
Code: |
pmac_nvram.c: In function 'pmac_nvram_init':
pmac_nvram.c:531: 'pmu_nvram_read_byte' undeclared (first use in this function)
...
pmac_nvram.c:532: 'pmu_nvram_write_byte' undeclared
make[2] *** [pmac_nvram.o] Error 1
make[2] Leaving directory '/usr/src/ppc-sources-2.4.24/arch/ppc/platforms'
|
Anyone have any idea what the problem is?
The machine is a PowerMac 8600 and though this\is a freash install following some hard disk replacement, the machine has functioned happily with both ppc and vanilla sources kernels in the past (though the last version installed was a vanilla 2.2.4).
update
I have just googled the floowing on http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2003/debian-powerpc-200312/msg00516.html

to get it to compile just add 'Support for PMU based Macintosh' (i.e.
Powerbook/iBook) in the macintosh section... |
