I have never understood what I am supposed to set the domainname of my computer to. Whenever I see an example it is a full domain name. If my computer is just on a home network do I make something up like home.com or something? |

If you're on a home network then the domainname is useless.. unless you have other computers going through your box into the net. If that is the case then you can set up a dns-server and the other computers can find your webserver with the name you invented... (<- useless )
I don't know of any other uses for domainname... _________________ "Only when the last tree has died, the last river been poisoned,
