This is a minor problem, but how might I get the "utilities" section of my KDE menu back? I accidentally deleted it.
I would think one way would be to login to KDE as root and copy its KDE menu settings. I'm not sure how to do this, however.
If there is a way to rebuild a KDE menu, that would be great.
Also, I've noticed none of my emerge installations install application links in my KDE menu. I just add them myself, but is there a way to have them do it automatically at emerge?
Thanks!

Did you actually delete it, as in using konqueror and removing the directory containing the desktop files? Or did you just click delete in the menueditor?
If you actually removed it there shouldn't be any problems just moving it over from root's ~. Just watch out with permissions.
If you just press delete in the menueditor all you have to do is enable "view hidden files" in menueditor and your utilities menu should show up as hidden. From there all you have to do is unhide it... |
